Given room on ground floor so had to close curtains to avoid people looking in.

Excellent value for money Staff were very friendly and hospitable

No umbrellas on beach or garden area. People who were outside hotel took the shady spots on the beach.

The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a good holiday.

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities. Good range of food at breakfast and evening meal buffets for both meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans.

Great accommodation in an excellent position —- view from the Room to Balcony to Pool to Beach to Ocean! The hotel is situated at the head of a long string of bars & restaurants along the beachfront —- nothing to beat picking out your fish from the day's catch and then dining with your toes in the sand! And if you enjoy a cocktail, have a seat during Happy Hour (4pm till 9pm!) and spend all of 3USD per drink. Highly recommended.

I don't understand why my credit card doesn't work in this hotel, and it works just a few minutes in restaurant nearby and it always works along my trip in other places

Beautiful big room with a great view. In general we had a nice stay at the hotel and has a great location in town.

Bathroom looks nice but the door's lock wasn't really working, also we had to shower in cold to room temperature water, we asked the staff to help us and they approached in a very nice manner but never really fixed it. There also some other minor issues that made feel that the value for money is not great.

Excellent location, right on the beach. All rooms have ocean views and a nice balcony. The pool is great and the food is delicious. We chose full board and did not regret that. For lunch, there were only 3 options to choose from but we always found something good (we mostly chose fish which was very fresh). Breakfast and dinner is a buffet. We traveled with a 9-month-old baby and we gave her fish and chicken from the buffet, also vegetables and fruits. Many fruits at all meals and fresh juice every morning( mango, papaya, watermelon, bananas, and many others. The staff is very friendly and smiling, especially when they see you with the baby :). The beach is one the most beautiful ones in Sri Lanka, and the view is breathtaking. There could be some big waves sometimes so you better be careful when entering the water with the baby. The pool offers the opportunity to relax and enjoy. They offer a breakfast box/package if you miss having it, as we did on the day of the departure. We missed the lunch one day and they were very kind to give us a plate full of fresh fruits for the baby :). They cleaned our room every day and the cleaning lady was very nice. Many thanks to all the staff and the owner who offered us a discount. We stayed there for 9 days.

They could not provide a baby cot. The airport transfer is a bit expensive, around 100 $.

We booked the family room which was massive and a view straight to the pool and the surf break on Marissa. Service seemed good to me. Can get a bit busy around the pool at times.

The Christmas dinner was not to our liking. Instead of to much variation, it would if the food had better quality and taste.

Pool was closed for renovations which we weren’t aware of, some staff aren’t very friendly (overall everyone is polite). Hotel is older than most so could use a little love and renovations, expensive considering but location makes up for it.

Honestly I never usually can be bothered to write reviews after staying in hotels but for this one I had too because we enjoyed it so much. The swimming pool was the best pool we experienced in all of Sri Lanka and trust me when I say this as we stayed in 4 star hotels all the way - 7 of them while travelling in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks. It was luxurious and warm and 20 seconds from a stunning beach. But also I have to say the food was so blinking good considering it was a buffet every night. We had read some poor food reviews from 6 months ago and so were initially a little nervous but this hotel is seriously good value for money if you have half board deal. Had the best fresh fish here one night better than anything else on our holiday. They must have hired a new Chef or something. Finally we also had the best massage on the roof of any place we stayed in. It’s run by a proper Ayurveda doctor and so professionally run and good value for money.

The pool is amazing, right on the beach and you can walk to the coconut tree hill and parrot island.

Awful dinner buffet, very basic. Room was very dated and smelt damp.

The location is good. The hotel is at the beach with a nice view.

Dinner was not worthwhile- only few options and nothing else than rice to vegetarian.

The hotel has extremely beautiful view of sea. The sea is out of the window. All staffs are nice and considering. We arrived 3hrs earlier than the checking in time, but we are arranged checking in immediately. I will recommend the hotel to my friends absolutely.

This place has the best location on the beach. Hands down. The pool and the views are amazing. They are right where the action is, and I have been there before.

I love this place, but for the price point, I think their classic rooms are ready for an update. Things run, and they have expanded a bit, but I think the overall attention to details needs improvement.

the only thing I would suggest is cleaning the bathroom shower (floor and tiles) better.
